The Basic package ($1,499 per year) covers everything your BVI company needs to stay in good standing—the annual government fee, registered agent and registered office, Annual Return and Economic Substance filings, custody of statutory records, and your compliance dashboard with reminders. The Standard package ($1,999 per year) adds the certificates banks and counterparties most often request during the year: a Certificate of Incumbency and a Certificate of Good Standing, delivered digitally. The Premium package ($2,749 per year) includes everything in Standard, plus notarization and apostille on up to 5 documents and express worldwide courier delivery of your originals.

The BVI government itself works on two renewal windows: companies incorporated between January and June must pay their annual government fee by May 31st each year, while companies incorporated between July and December must pay by November 30th. Your annual renewal package with us, however, is due by the anniversary of your incorporation. To avoid a last-minute crunch and allow our team sufficient time to process your renewal and make the government payment within the correct window, we issue your renewal invoice one to two months before your company's anniversary.

Missing the government deadline has escalating consequences: the BVI Financial Services Commission applies late-payment penalties on the annual fee, your company loses its good standing—which means certificates such as a Certificate of Good Standing cannot be issued—and if the fees remain unpaid, the Registrar can ultimately strike your company off the register. In addition, we cease providing services to your entity once it falls out of good standing, and no further requests will be accepted until the company is restored to good standing. Our reminder system exists precisely so it never comes to that.

Yes. Every renewal package includes the annual government license fee payable to the BVI Financial Services Commission for companies with up to 50,000 authorized shares—bundled together with your registered agent, registered office, and all required filings, so you pay one transparent price. Companies authorized to issue more than 50,000 shares pay an additional US$800 per year, reflecting the higher government fee.

No. If you incorporated your BVI company with Expanship, your first year's compliance—registered agent, registered office, and government fees—is already included in your incorporation package. The annual renewal applies from year two onwards. If you are transferring an existing company to us, renewal pricing applies immediately upon transfer.

Yes. You can transfer an existing BVI company to Expanship at any time, and our renewal packages apply immediately upon transfer. Our team handles the change of registered agent with the outgoing agent and the Registry, brings your statutory records into our custody, and sets up your compliance dashboard so every future deadline is tracked from day one.

Yes. You can move between renewal packages at your next renewal—simply let our team know before your renewal invoice is issued. If you need a certificate or an apostille mid-year while on a lower package, contact us and we will quote it as an individual service; upgrading at renewal is usually the more economical route if you expect to need these documents regularly.

We recommend paying your BVI company compliance cost via bank transfer for the smoothest experience. We also accept debit and credit card payments for your convenience. Unfortunately, we do not currently accept cryptocurrency as a payment option. Once you're ready to proceed, we'll provide detailed payment instructions along with your invoice.
