FAQ
Bahamas Company Maintenance Costs: Common Questions
What the yearly package covers, when it starts and the dates to keep in mind
Our Bahamas compliance package is designed as a single, all-in solution. It covers the annual government fee payable to the Registrar General, registered agent and office services, the yearly Accounting Records Declaration, Economic Substance reporting under CESRA 2023, beneficial ownership maintenance, directors and officers register updates, compliance deadline tracking, and secure document management. Rather than charging separately for each obligation, we bundle everything into one predictable annual cost.
For companies newly formed through Expanship, compliance for the first year is generally bundled into your incorporation package. The US$1,099 annual fee kicks in from the second year onward. If you're moving an existing Bahamas company over to us, the package takes effect right away once the transfer is complete.
Yes. The annual government fee paid to the Registrar General is fully included in your package. This fee is required each year by January 1st to keep your company on the Register. Late payment triggers a 10% surcharge from April 1st, escalating to 50% from November 1st, with the risk of being struck off entirely. Our package ensures this is handled well ahead of the deadline on your behalf.
No. The amount shown is the amount you pay. There are no platform fees, administrative surcharges or add-ons, and every regulatory filing and ongoing obligation listed in the package is covered.
Bank transfer is our preferred payment method, as it tends to be the most straightforward for international clients. We also support debit and credit card payments. Cryptocurrency is not accepted at this time. After you confirm your order, we'll send an invoice with step-by-step payment instructions.
The Bahamas has several important dates throughout the year. The annual government fee is due by January 1st. The Accounting Records Declaration must be filed by September 30th. Economic Substance Declarations under CESRA are due within nine months of your financial year-end. Beneficial ownership records must be updated within 15 days of any change. Our compliance package includes proactive deadline management so nothing slips through the cracks.
The annual government fee, which is set by the Bahamas authorities, not by us, and passed on at cost, plus our own work: preparing and coordinating your filings, keeping your registered agent and registered office in place, and handling your company's annual compliance on your behalf.
